The Whispered World

The Taste of Tea, ou "Cha no Aji" em Japonês, é um filme que não deve ser levado demasiado a sério. Antes de sequer começar a vê-lo, aconselho toda a gente a abrir a sua mente, pois este não é um filme qualquer. Apesar da história não ser muito elaborada, tem pequenos (grandes!) detalhes capazes de nos agarrar ao ecrã desde o início ao fim.

Em relação ao plot, não há muito a dizer, pois cada acção que decorre ao longo dos 143min é desencadeadora de tramas que não posso contar, senão estaria a ser spoiler! Mas, basicamente, o filme retrata a vida pacata de uma familia num ambiente rural no Japão. Família essa que cujos membros é mais estranho que o anterior. Temos a filha Sachiko que é perseguida por uma versão gigante de si mesma; o filho Hajime que a rapariga de quem gostava, parte para outra cidade; o tio que viveu durante vários anos em Tokyo e decide mudar-se de novo para junto da família; a mãe que é uma artista de anime desempregada; o pai que é hipnotizador; e temos, por fim, a personagem mais estranha de todo o filme - o avô Akira que mostra toda a sua bondade e maluquice em momentos inesquecíveis.

Mas porque é que eu adoro tanto este filme?... Bom, para ser sincero, não consigo especificar em concreto a razão que me leva a afirmar que este é um dos filmes que me deixa mais feliz com a vida. Talvez seja a beleza da fotografia que enche a vista de tal forma que nos hipnotiza e não deixa descolar; ou então a simplicidade das personagens em que cada uma transporta em si um pedaço de vida que, acredito, ser similar a cada um de nós; ou até a banda sonora que encaixa perfeitamente em todas as situações.

No geral, The Taste of Tea é grandioso. As performances dos actores estão muito bem conseguidas e ainda conta com Tadanobu Asano (Ichi the Killer, Zatôichi, Last Life in the Universe) no papel de tio.
Aconselho este filme a todos os que gostam de cinema, principalmente cinema asiático, pois este é um filme espectacular que ninguém deve perder!
